Cabin 17 is a newly renovated waterfront cottage on Chute Pond in Northern Wisconsin. The lake views and proximity to the water are unbeatable!
Cabin 17 has undergone a full remodel of the entire home, including a vaulted ceiling game-movie room and bunkbed loft with two sets of bunks, remodeled kitchen with stainless steel appliances, ample food storage and dining area, 2 full bathrooms, 2 queen bedrooms with closets, stunning picture windows facing the lake, and an electric gas-burning fireplace. The movie room has an old-school VHS player and over 108 classic movies to choose from! We hope you enjoy this home away from home.

Take your vacation to the great outdoors! A canoe, a kayak, paddles, and life vests are available for all guests. Enjoy a good book on the hammock by the lake. Take a short forest walk up to the screened in gazebo and open-air patio bar. A BBQ grill, lighters, utensils, and propane is available for those grill masters! Facing the lake and sunset, the firepit is stocked with wood, s'mores sticks, lawn chairs, and padded stump seating. 2 cruiser bicycles are also included with helmets. The sauna room can fit up to 5 people, and will be finished by Spring 2025. Everything is provided for you at Cabin 17 for your next lakefront vacation!
Our favorite boating spots include the sandbar, slippery rock, and jumping rock. You can see the sandbar straight out from the boat dock, where you can drop anchor and bring your football and floaties for a day on the water. You'll also find lots of family picnics and swimming at the county park next to the dam. On the other side of the dam is a concealed entry to slippery rock, a natural water slide formation. Lastly, just before the Everbreeze is jumping rock, perfect for tricks and warming in the sun.
Popular places to dine out and enjoy the night life include The Everbreeze on the lake, South Shore, and Skinny Dave's. The Rustic Cup serves breakfast Wed-Sun until 1 p.m. All are a short boat ride or drive away. Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya is the nearby summer camp and the reason why we found this place!
Please note, this is a remote cabin with limited reception and does not offer Wifi at this time. Please plan accordingly, and enjoy life unplugged and immersed in nature.

Well, back in the day, the counselors at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya would hang out at code word "Cabin 16" on the weekends. (Camp only had 15 cabins at the time!) The owners, Kaitlyn and Ren, thought it would be fitting to call their place Cabin 17, an homage to Camp and the next great hangout spot for families, lake-lovers, and friends of Camp.
Kaitlyn and Ren are long time campers of Camp Unie. They met on their first camp trip together called The Flambeau River Trip. Little did they know it would lead to a lifelong friendship. Ren was a trip staff counselor and fearlessly led Kaitlyn and 6 incredible women through 2 more rigorous trips in the years to come. The Nor'Wester is the most prestigious annual trip of Camp, set in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of Northern Minnesota. They came together again to embark on The Quetico trip in Canada, which had seen a 13-year hiatus from Camp! What a truly remarkable group of women.
1% of all proceeds will fund the rebuilding of the Camp Trail Department for all future campers. Thank you for choosing Cabin 17!
